Did you know that I’m my mother’s birthday present? I was born six weeks early, just two days after her birthday!
So, we’ve shared our birthdays my entire life, even often having shared cakes.
Now, to add to the coincidence, my birthday is the same as my husband’s grandfather’s, and my mom’s birthday is the same as his dad on that side of the family. Two parent/child pairs, dates reversed.
Isn’t that wild? They thought I was joking when I first pointed it out. *smile*
Anywho, we celebrated on Monday with my family, and last Saturday with his family. Twice the Birthday fun!
Today, we didn’t do anything special though. I had a regional meeting in Madison, and I spent all day at that.
Amusingly, one of my bosses got grief at the meeting for it being HER birthday today too! I dodged that one for the most part. *grin* So, no singing or general embarrassment at work, thank-you-very-much.
But even without celebrations today, I had a great day, and I got to ride with my husband to and from the meeting. I love just being around him. We spent last night at his parents’ so we wouldn’t have to get up super early and drive, so this morning was leisurely compared to my usual get-up-at-five-and-rush system that lets me make the drive to work. (Almost an hour!)
