I thought growing sprouts might be a good idea.
I followed the directions exactly.
Changed the water 4 or 5 times a day.
They barely sprouted and then died and smelled like FEET.
What am I doing wrong?!?

I’m sorry it didn’t work out with the sprouts, but it did make me laugh out loud when I got to the feet part. So I guess that’s something? 🤣
Better luck next time, though!
I’m still trying… I won’t consider it a total failure until I’m out of seeds, and I have a five pound bag of seeds so it will be a while. *smile* I’m glad it made you smile!
Have you tried the Ball Jar method? I just received a kit for the holidays and it’s almost fool proof! You will have so much better results, I just know it. Just google “Ball Jar Sprouts”. Or if you have any questions I would be happy to help! It’s so satisfying to grow your own!
I hadn’t heard of it! I’ve googled and found a lid for the jars I already have. Thank you for the suggestion! I’m focusing on growing buckwheat in particular but my alfalfa seeds were a bust too.
Yes! It’s all about the lid, be sure to get the plastic version (of the lid) the metal ones rust. Learned that the hard way. I don’t have any experience with buckwheat sprouts but Alfalfa is the only kind we grow! And I promise they will do well for you using the jar method. Keep me posted, I’m rooting for you and your sprouts!
Thank you! I’ll keep posting as I have results! 🙂
