Espresso Maker AND 300 Posts!

DSCN3803

So, I had scheduled a post about my new Espresso Maker, BUT when I went in to write it I realized that this is my 300th post!

I never thought, when I started blogging, that I would manage to regularly post because I’m so flaky, but I’ve maintained a 3-post-a-week schedule.  Some of my posts probably aren’t that interesting to you, but I did it!  I think I was only late on a few days, and I am SUPER proud of myself.

So, whee!  *confetti*

And back to your regularly scheduled post.

I bought an Espresso maker! (This one to be exact. Affiliate link.)  I went cheap because I had no idea if I would like it, but I’m enjoying it so far.

I did burn it once… that was a learning experience.  Even if it seems like it’s taking forever DO NOT go and sit down at the computer while you wait!

The water is on the bottom, the coffee in the middle, and it boils up into the top through this tube:

You grind the coffee extremely fine and put it in the piece in the middle.  Don’t tamp it down though:

That piece lifts out and you put the water in the bottom:

And you only fill the bottom to the valve? that’s sticking out of the side:

This one is a six ‘cup’ maker.  But keep in mind they’re talking espresso sized cups.  And it’s already staining, but I don’t care.  It was a complaint in the comments on Amazon, but this is a cheap one, so whatever.

Then I froth heavy whipping cream and sugar free syrup in a cup and pour the finished espresso over it.  And there you have a cappuccino!

So, there’s my new toy!

Thank you for sticking with me through 300 posts.  Or not.  Maybe this was your first one.  Either way, I fell like I’ve accomplished something!

This was initially intended to be an author blog, but I write preeeeeetty slowly.  *smile*

Do you blog?  How long have you been blogging?  Do you still enjoy it?  How do you come up with ideas?  Inquiring minds want to know!

  1. Happy 300 posts! Love your Expresso pot too. I have one just like it, but have not used it in years, not since I bought a French press. Most people who prefer to drink Expresso use that same pot. If the staining bothers you, use Barkeeper’s Friend to scrub it out. It’s available in the same aisle where Comet or Ajax cleanser is sold. I use Barkeeper’s for my Instant Pot too. Good stuff.
