My in-laws were hit by the same storm, and thankfully my father-in-law was in town, not at home, or he would have lost his vehicle and been trapped.
All photos taken by my husband.
They lost their driveway. Doesn’t look impressive here:
But from this angle? It’s completely destroyed. This is the ‘culvert’ under it.
I might note that we went over to their cabin for drinks on Friday, and my foolish self was all ‘sure, it doesn’t look too bad’.
I had to navigate it in the dark, both ways.
My shoes were soaked.
The entire backside of my jeans was mud.
BUT. No one was hurt in the making of this foolishness.
The wood shed my father-in-law just made took a trip, and all of the wood is gone. It was originally where the motorcycle is:
And the culvert has us wondering. What is it actually? My husband thinks train car, but I think septic. What do you think? It has this hatch:
And this strange cut out:
What do you think? Any ideas? Inquiring minds want to know! *smile*
Someone said a silo for fertilizer. (Mother-in-law)
It’s definitely strange, but I can see why they used it.
I think it’s a train tanker.
