Is Amazon Blocking Your Reviews?

If your book reviews on Amazon are being blocked, and you get a ‘Review Hidden by Sensitivity Filter’ message… you’re not the only one.

It seems like Amazon turned these on for everyone!

But it’s an easy fix, and I’ll walk you through it.

First, go to Amazon.com on your laptop or desktop.  This might also work on a tablet, but I don’t know how to run any of the smart phones so I can’t vouch for them.

Then, click the ‘Accounts & Lists’ link.  We don’t care about the drop down menu here, just click it like a button.

Then, click ‘Your Amazon profile’.

Click the yellow ‘Edit your profile’ link.

And then there will be two tabs.  Click the one on the right, ‘Edit privacy settings’.

filter 04

You will probably find the ‘Hide sensitive activity’ checkbox filled.  You need to UNCHECK this box.

And then, save!!!  You may have to scroll down a little to reach the save button.

And that’s it!  I saw someone walking another reviewer through it on one of the Facebook groups I follow, and it seemed like this should be on a webpage where you can just link to it.

Happy reviewing!
