Oh, Wisconsin

The weather changed here, and suddenly we were expecting a frost.

I was like ‘I’ve got this’, and I pulled out the clear table clothes I ordered, the plastic hoops, garden stakes, and a hole punch.

I trundled outside and carefully covered up all of my plants during the warmest part of the day. I tucked all the edges down, punched holes for the stakes, and staked them in place.

Then I went inside and went on with my day.

The next morning, I went to check on them, and SOME VILE CREATURE pulled up one corner of the covers, letting frosty air in and killing all the plants closest to that opening.

*cries*

Some days, there is no winning. I’ll have to go to a green house and pick up plants to replace them, but these plants had been MINE from seed I sewed.

I’m bummed, to be honest.

  1. Vile creature is right! I hope they have some more tomatoes to replace the ones lost.
