Paperback Proofs!

I finally got to see my novel in print!

There are some issues with this proof, so I resubmitted with corrections, and now the paperback is live! You can find it here on Amazon.

I took photos:

These two are for my god kids, and they live in Canada. I didn’t list this book widely because it would force me to raise the cost even for US readers, and it’s already pretty expensive. So, their mom ordered them and sent them to me, and I’ll mail them to her.

What’s neat is that I ordered ONE author copy to check the proof (it still hasn’t arrived – boo!), and she ordered two for her kids, and then I resubmitted the file to fix some problems. So there are literally only three copies from my very first attempt. *smile*

I of course addressed them to each kid, signed both copies, tried to think of something to say, and left a note that it is 1 of 3 of first print attempt. I’ll hopefully have those in the mail in the next few days! Our post office is rarely open.

So, huzzah! It was a shock to see them and hold them in my hands. They were bigger than I anticipated, but I wrote a long book so I shouldn’t have been surprised.

  1. Woop woop! Feels surreal, doesn’t it? Nothing beats that feeling of holding your months and years of hard work in your hands. Congrats and wishing you all the best for it!

    1. Thank you so much! It was a shock how real it felt when I opened the bag and they were Right There. And knowing I wrote 110,000 words is a lot different from picking up a book containing that many pages!
