Take a look at my Kanban board! The first draft of Ocooch 02 is at 113,000 words! Book 01's first draft was only 76,000 words. It's going to be SO LONG! I can't wait to revise it!
As a reminder to those who aren't writers, during the Month of November, many authors and aspiring writers attempt the NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month challenge to reach 50,000 words in 30 days. Now, 50,000 isn't exactly novel length in my opinion, about half of what I write in one, but it's a lofty … Continue reading Monday NaNo Update!
So, this is being written on Sunday for my Monday post. As of this morning, I'm at 15,732 words! The goal for today is 11,669, and I haven't written yet today so I'm doing well! I did some of this writing at my in-laws' new place, so I have to take a bit to transfer … Continue reading NaNoWriMo Update as of Sunday Morning
Ya'll. YA'LL. It's National Novel Writing Month! Which may not affect you directly, but I'll be writing 50,000 words in 30 days to celebrate. I write. SO MUCH. And very little of it is on this webpage. So I thought it would be fun to show what I've written: here's a break down! I have a TON of novels. (This does NOT include any of my short stories!) Year is the year started. Colors in this list are just … Continue reading Did I Mention I Write a Lot? Like, A Lot, A Lot
The Ocooch Mountains novel's first draft is coming along - I have just over 35,000 words. That's about 1/3 of the way there for a first draft in this genre! I'm working hard on trying to make sure I write at least a little every day. Prior to this, I had written during NaNoWriMo primarily, … Continue reading Ocooch and Content Editors
I have won NaNoWriMo five times, and it has helped me complete three different novels. The premise behind it is that you write a whole novel, 50,000 words, in a month. It's a short novel, but still a novel, and I've shown that I can do this. You would think I'd be the biggest fan … Continue reading NaNoWriMo and Why I’m Not Participating This Time
