Construction Paper and Eyeliner

DSCN4120

Happy belated Halloween!  We didn’t think to buy any costume parts in advance since I hadn’t felt like dressing up.

But then, day of, I DEFINITELY felt like dressing up.  So here’s what I could piece together using construction paper and basic make up supplies – most of it eyeliner.

We had ~150 kids/parents this year and had juuuust enough candy.

The kids love petting Tundra, so I tell them ‘Take what you like (candy), and you can pet him if you want to, but you don’t have to.’

Most of the kids pet him.

Some of them remembered his name from prior years.

And there’s one adorable couple that come up to the door and love on him.

So we had fun!  I didn’t expect there to be quite so many trick-or-treaters considering it was pretty cold and had snowed, but free candy is apparently a big motivator.

How was your Halloween?  Did you have a lot of trick-or-treaters?  Did you dress up?  Inquiring minds want to know!  I’ve also half hoped that adults would go trick-or-treating like we did in the dorms – door to door with a shot glass!
