Y’all have been SO incredibly patient while my life imploded. I wanted to give some updates.
My mom has stopped eating, but I’ve been going through therapy in preparation for her passing, so it’s hard but I’m doing better than I was. No, I don’t know how long we have left with her, but she’s stable right now. It’s hard.
My husband’s leg has mostly healed, he’s walking with a cane and has been able to start helping around the house again. Ten years ago, a break like this would have cost him his leg. It was BAD. It took a full year to heal to this stage.
We have TWO dogs now, Koda (2m) and Birdie (5f). We’re taking them to puppy class once a week! If you want photos, I can drop them in the comments or maybe a different post.
Here’s what you actually want to know: I am actively editing Captured Pawn. The first half of the edits are back from the editor, and I’m busy working on it. I included a screen capture from Campfire so you can see how far I’ve gotten – and see some hints at surprises in this book.
I am drafting another book. I like to edit one while I’m drafting one, so I have a surprise Zombie book in the works. Why did I start another series? Because book 2 from the Ocooch world is drafted and waiting for edits, so I can’t write 3 yet. Captured Pawn is in edits, so I can’t write book 3 yet. And I want to have a book to draft as an escape while life is hard.
So long story short, it’s been hard, but things are improving. Thank you SO MUCH @everyone for encouraging me through the hardest year of my life. You’re amazing~!
