The Friday before I finished work, we had our monthly office meeting where we meet with partner agencies and get the scoop on what’s going on in the Central Office.
This time, due to me leaving, we had a taco luncheon. I love tacos, so this was a win-win situation. Get to gossip AND eat tacos.
But…
My coworkers are kind people, and they brought going away presents and cards.
This floored me. It hadn’t occurred to me that there would be cards or presents. I was just expecting tacos.
So, I received two mums, one yellow, one white. I have moved them to my mom’s house (mums for mum!) because she is FAR better than I am at keeping flowers alive. She remembers to water them and stuff.
So far as I can tell I can only grow basil and tomatoes.
There were several kind cards and a few gift cards. One gift card was from our other office, which was SUPER sweet because I have little contact with them.
And one coworker including scratch off tickets in her card. Good luck to get rid of my bad luck. I won 9 dollars, so thank you. *smile*
And there was a wind chime and picture frame which were very cute.
I am THE MOST AWKWARD at accepting presents and didn’t know what to do or say, but THANK YOU to everyone who came.
I hope to be able to work with you again in the future!
