When I started this blog, I thought I’d push for three posts a week and see how long I could manage to continue it. I set a schedule to help keep me accountable. I sit down every Sunday and schedule three posts for the week. They’re posted Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 5pm, which is kind of arbitrary but works.
I’ve only been late on a handful of days, and on a few days that I was too sick to write I put up an ‘I’m sick, sorry!’ posts.
I started in early 2017 with no idea of what I was doing, no followers, nothing.
Since then, including today’s post, I have made 600 posts! And I have 300 or so followers. I mean, let’s be honest here. A fair number of them are bots that send me messages on my form telling me they can HaLp YoU gEt SkInNy AnD gEt FaNs. I’ve tried to remove them but they just resubscribe so, meh. I’m not going to stress about it.
I’ve developed a sort of style, and I have my own rules. I don’t post gossip. I don’t post other people’s business. I keep my posts clean and sweet, and I don’t include religion or politics. I mostly post about daily things in my life, and I know they’re not Super Awesome like the Bloggess (LOVE her posts!), but I’m just not that entertaining.
I do post about finances and weight loss – they’re sort of taboo subjects, but we really need to be more open about them. I also cover my mental and physical ailments occasionally because I AM disabled, and that’s part of who I am. I want readers to see me, Bipolar I included, as just another person, not a stereotype. I feel like I have to be a face for my illnesses, you know?
So, for those of you reading, I’m really happy to have you visit.
I’m happy you’ve stuck with me.
And I’m so grateful for those who have commented. Thank you, so much, because you encourage me to keep trucking!
Woop woop! That’s a huge milestone. I don’t think I’m even halfway through that. Wishing you many more posts to come!
Thank you! I love reading your posts, and I’m always glad to see them. 🙂
Aww, I’m super honoured that you’d say that, so thanks for making my day, Renee!
