Turns out they scheduled me for the wrong MRI.
… I didn’t know that was a thing, but it means that I have a NEW MRI appointment on January 3rd. They called me frantically at 7:15 in the morning to reschedule, so I can’t fault the poor lady for hopping to get it fixed.
I was… stressed to find out that I wasn’t going in for it after all. And since I was at my in-laws, I couldn’t update my blog post, sorry!
The nice thing though is that this new appointment will be at the UW Main Hospital, so I’ll be able to have an IV team come in to do the IV for contrast, which 10/10 do approve.
I’m SO hard to get a blood draw on that an IV makes me cringe!
Plus the new appointment is at 6:30 in the evening, so I don’t have to get up early.
I haven’t really talked about why I’m getting an MRI, and that’s because I have NO answers yet. I don’t want to spook friends and family until I have A. a better idea of what’s going on and B. a plan going forward.
Which, right now I have neither.
What good does it do to call someone with ‘bad news’ when you can’t answer any questions they might have? All it does is stress them out!
Once I know what’s going on though, I’ll call friends and family, and THEN I’ll post here. I don’t want family to find out from a blog or social media post!
So, I’m not answering questions or giving an explanation now. Thank you for listening to me ramble!
