So, if you go to Rapid City, South Dakota, you REALLY need to see Mount Rushmore, so you can say you’ve seen it.
Or so I’m told.
So I went.
It was… a whole thing?
I mean, the carving is nice, but the hordes of people were stressful, and I was happy to leave.
Very pretty. Much patriotism.
Personally I’m not a big fan of defacing rock faces, be that graffiti or carvings like this and Crazy Horse. Nothing to do with politics, more I prefer they’re au naturale.
I especially dislike hordes of people. No one was being a jerk, but there were a TON of people, and that stresses me out.
So, visit if you happen to be there, but don’t go out of your way to go if you’re not already in town.
