When we lost Pyra, there were too few bantams left for the bantam coop.
So I had to order bantams. They came in a minimum of three, and when they arrived there were four.
Bringing us to six bantams.
Then one of them managed to soak themself in the waterer, and we saved it, everything looked good…
Two days later, she was dead. No idea why. Didn’t even have a name yet.
So now we’ve lost two chicks, both bantams, but have more chicks than when we started.
Are bantams just harder to keep alive?!?
I’m so sorry you lost another chick. They are very frail during those first few months of life. Prayers for strength and gentle hugs.
