The straw bales we ended up with were huge.
Ridiculously huge.
And it was immediately obvious that when they started to break down they were going to make a huge mess.
So, we wrapped them in chicken wire!
Which, I’m sure my UPS driver hates me. We had tires delivered the other week as well as Green Stalks, and now 200 feet of chicken wire.
Haaaaaaates me.
But doesn’t it look nice?
All wrapped up and ready to go!
I’ve started the straw bale treatment to make them compost a bit even though it’s still relatively cold outside. We’ll see how it goes. I’m planting mostly potatoes in them, so I’m hoping we get a good crop!
