My husband has a driving wheel with pedals and shifter to play his racing games, but there's always issues on where to mount it, making space, moving it around. He has wanted a collapsible driving chair for years. This year he shared one with me, and it wasn't that expensive. Take a look: So his … Continue reading A Driving Chair for Sim Racing

Celebrating Our Joint Birthdays
Every year I post about my birthday, and it never gets old. My mom and father-in-law share a birthday, and two days later I share a birthday with my father-in-law's dad. We were birthday presents for each of our parents! I celebrated early with my father-in-law because we were only going to be in town … Continue reading Celebrating Our Joint Birthdays
In-Laws Were Hit By the Flooding Too
My in-laws were hit by the same storm, and thankfully my father-in-law was in town, not at home, or he would have lost his vehicle and been trapped. All photos taken by my husband. They lost their driveway. Doesn't look impressive here: But from this angle? It's completely destroyed. This is the 'culvert' under it. … Continue reading In-Laws Were Hit By the Flooding Too
Happy Mother’s Day!
I picked up petunia's for my mother, but forgot to take a photo of them before we gave them to her. BUT! I gave her some squash plants for her favorite type of squash. Buttercup, I think. I'd have to check the package. They were beginning to crawl out of my closet! For my mother-in-law … Continue reading Happy Mother’s Day!
Meet Andrew, Our Grill
It's FINALLY warm enough that we can grill out! Normally we would be going to our in-laws to grill, but my mother-in-law is unavailable, and they are both in Madison. So we dragged out our grill, Andrew. Why does our grill have a name? Well, Andrew was abandoned in a park in Madison a few … Continue reading Meet Andrew, Our Grill
Behold! A Toilet at Last!
Our toilet has been acting up for years... it doesn't want to flush, it takes a ton of water, and it's aggravating all around. Clogs on literally NOTHING, takes three or four tries to flush, overflows, runs continuously until you jiggle the handle... the works. No amount of additives or plunging has helped. My husband … Continue reading Behold! A Toilet at Last!
Grow Light Huzzah!
I received a grow light for Christmas from my mother-in-law and it's WONDERFUL. I've wanted grow lights for years, and so this was super happy making! This was the sole reason we cleaned the basement! Here's what it looks like assembled: It was moderately easy to put together, but I wasn't able to push all … Continue reading Grow Light Huzzah!
We Went to a California Wedding
I said we went to a wedding, but I didn't mention it was to a California wedding. I don't like saying when I will be out of the house for a few days because that's just inviting theft. But we did! We flew to California, and we had a great wedding. This was the backdrop: … Continue reading We Went to a California Wedding
Surgery Success!
My mother-in-law went into surgery on last Tuesday for a Basilar Aneurysm that was about 7mm long. She was supposed to go in in the morning, but didn't start until 1pm, and didn't finish until around around 6pm. It went well. She stayed in the hospital overnight and went home the next day. Success! I … Continue reading Surgery Success!
Mother-In-Law’s Surgery Is Tuesday
My mother-in-law's surgery will be this coming Tuesday (tomorrow for you - I write my posts on Sunday), and this is a little nerve wracking. It was a rough July. We found on my MIL has an aneurysm. My grandfather had a fall and a small stroke. My aunt, who was in remission after battling … Continue reading Mother-In-Law’s Surgery Is Tuesday
