I ordered a sourdough starter from King Arthur’s flour, so I think my next step will be to try making sourdough bread!
I’ve got it fed and growing on my countertop. I didn’t get a photo of it today, but I got one yesterday.
This is after one day of growth – there was maybe an ounce of starter initially.
The jar is from Amazon and came with multiple black rubber bands so I could measure the growth. Right now, I’ve JUST fed it and marked the edges so I know how far it grows.
Have you played with Sourdough starter? Any advice?

I have always had to use bottled, RO filtered or well water to get the sourdough to “work”.
That’s a good idea – thank you for the suggestion. I’ll try that next.
Basically any unchlorinated water.
